      The Food Standards Agency is an independent food safety watchdog set up by
      an Act of Parliament in 2000 to protect the public's health and consumer
      interests in relation to food. The main aim of the agency is to promote best
      practices in the food sector and help people identify healthy food and
      reduce food borne illness. FSA is accountable to Parliament through Health
      Ministers, and to the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales and
      Northern Ireland for its activities within their areas.

      Food Standards Australia New Zealand ensures safe food by developing
      effective food standards for Australia and New Zealand. It is a part of food
      regulatory system operating between governments at all levels in Australia

      as the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of
